The Engineering
Path

Full-stack software engineer with 3+ years shipping production systems professionally, backed by a First Class Computer Science degree. I've worked across PHP/Laravel, Node.js, Vue.js, and TypeScript in industry, and gone deeper into C/C++, Java, Python, and FastAPI/Elasticsearch at university, and I'll pick up whatever stack a role actually needs. I care more about solving the problem well than about which language I get to use doing it.

Languages & Tools

My stack splits naturally into two halves: what I've shipped professionally, and what I've built deep expertise in through university coursework and independent projects. Both halves get used, my Big Data module project runs on FastAPI and Elasticsearch, my dissertation runs on Node.js and PostgreSQL, and JCLcheck's parser is hand-written vanilla JavaScript with no framework at all.

Whatever Gets the Job Done

"Give me a stack I've never touched and a problem worth solving, and I'll have it running by the time you're ready to review it."

My own project history proves this out, a hand-written lexer/parser/AST pipeline for JCLcheck with zero prior compiler experience, FastAPI and Elasticsearch for a Big Data module I hadn't used either tool in before, and Unity/C# for a games technology module. I'm not attached to a specific language or framework; I'm attached to shipping something that works, well-tested, and properly documented.
